A Few More Days

I decided a few days ago, that for everyone's sanity (especially mine), Maisey will attend at least a few camps this summer. I was hoping to ramp up to the homeschool level--you know, I could provide something entertaining as well as educational for both girls every day, but I am running out of ideas. I did get a language program that they've loved playing. Maisey's practicing her Spanish, Evie is now enjoying French, and I am enjoying listening to them chatter new words in their respective languages. But by the afternoons, they start playing like oil and water, and Evie's moods are the worse for wear. So, two more weeks and we'll all be enjoying recitals and anecdotes from Maisey's Leap N Learn camp. In the meantime, here's some fun stuff we've been doing.

Library Day

Or, an afternoon spent wandering around Downtown Morgantown. We went to the library. The girls played while I searched for books as part of Maisey's Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge.

Next up, the pet shop, where the girls wanted to pet everything. Even the fish.

Turtle boogies!

Pat the Ball Python.

Yes, my princess dress wearing little girl loves snakes.

Then we went to the ice cream shop. Who doesn't like ice cream?

Then we went to the toy store and picked out a gift for Maisey's friend's birthday. That was a fun filled Wednesday. Thursday was dull. So dull that I can't even remember what we did. Okay, so let's skip to Friday.

A Trip to Trax

Maisey, Evie, Bowie JeanMarie and I headed to Trax Farms yesterday for a strawberry picking adventure. It was so much fun, and the kids got along so well that I want to do something like that everyday! For those of you who are in my neck of the woods, check them out. Here are a few memories.

It was getting hot, and our baskets were getting heavy, so we decided to head back to the car. JeanMarie and I looked up to see that Bowie was carrying Maisey's basket of strawberries. What a gentleman!

Three little farmers, sitting on a tractor.

It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go pick blueberries. or peaches. Or blackberries. Or whatever is in season next.
