Spring Break: Amazement Square

Amazement Square in Lynchburg

We woke to a fun day ahead at Amazement Square, Lynchburg's gem of a children's museum. If you go anywhere near there, it is a must see. Here's their website for more information.

If you think I'm favoring Evie in the photos, it's because we lost Maisey for the first hour and a half in the four stories of climbing and sliding structures. Evie ventured in and out, and Clint and I went with her, but she was a little more afraid of climbing on cargo nets than Maisey was. It was fantastic fun.

The Ball Exhibits

Evie was so excited I could barely keep up with her. It was probably easier than Clint trying to keep track of Maisey in the climbing structure though, so I can't complain.

The Health Exhibit

The Egyptian Exhibit

This was so well done! Build a pyramid, write on papyrus, fish in the Nile, make a mummy, and dress up like a King or Queen.

The Native American Exhibit

Maisey appeared for a few minutes at the exhibit, so I took advantage. I didn't get to see much of this one.

The James River Water Exhibit

Clint loved this as much as the girls did. And he finally drew Maisey away from the climbing structure to play with the boats in the "working" river, modeled on the James River in Lynchburg.

The Batteau Ride

Getting Artsy in the Painting Room

This room was fantastic! I loved how it was set up, and the kids loved it too.

Getting Buggy in the Insect Exhibit

Bees, beetles, ants and all sorts of insect information was buzzing around. What a cool area!

Evie On The Farm

The farm exhibit was for ages 4 and under, and Evie loved it. Maisey felt a little left out, but Daddy took her to play nearby while we explored.

Daddy and Maisey Make an Impression

While the city of Lynchburg left an impression on me, the drive to Talcott and family was a beautiful and relaxing ride.
